Real Deal Poker Temporarily Closes
Real Deal Poker launched in May 2025 and captured the headlines by becoming the first and only online poker site to deal real cards. All other online poker sites use an RNG (Random Number Generator) which many players have been skeptical of in the past therefore the fact players could now have a site where they were dealt real cards and could play with players all over the world (except players from the US) was very exciting and it was thought the site would take off just like PKR did (the best 3D poker site).
Sadly however, things did not take off for Real Deal Poker. Instead they have decided to temporarily close the site in order to fix the site properly. Many things were wrong with Real Deal Poker such as:
- Lack of players
- Evander Holyfield as a sponsor when he couldn’t even play on the dite due to being from the US
- Lack of guaranteed tournaments
- Lack of promotions
- Nothing unique except for being the only site to deal real cards
Of course, being a new site and not being on a network was always going to be difficult however the money spent on signing a US sports star really did nothing for the site, he can’t even play online due to being from the US and all that money could have been spent on marketing the site to drive more players to it. It is understandable the site couldn’t afford to run exciting promotions or big guaranteed tournaments with the lack of players however to succeed they need incentives for players to play at their site instead of others.
The site is expected to re-launch in several weeks however it is so far unclear what will be changing and what will be introduced, the only certain thing is that things need a drastic overhaul in order to succeed.
One positive for players was the 100% up to $500 welcome bonus which is on par with fellow European poker sites Titan Poker and PartyPoker however it was suprising more players didn’t take advantage of the bonus offer because it is actually one of the easiest offers available due to the extremely soft competition.
As you will notice we have kept up our Real Deal Poker review and Real Deal Poker bonus code pages but clearly marked them with a notice for new players that the room has temporarily closed. Hopefully the re-launch of the site will bring better results and more players!
