PokerStars Bonus
By using PokerStars marketing code PSP11041, you are entitled to a 100% match bonus up to a maximum $600. Now is a great time to sign up at Pokerstars with this generous bonus offer, which once stood at a paltry $50 maximum. To clear the bonus you must earn VPP's. These are points which are accumulated whilst participating in real money games at Pokerstars. You will need to earn 17 times the bonus amount in VPP's, so if you take advantage of the full $600 bonus, 10,200 VPP's will be needed to clear your bonus.
However, Pokerstars now hosts a number of different currencies, so the bonus amount and the amount of VPP's will be different if you do not use $USD. Here is all the information for each currency:
Pokerstars also lets players who only deposit small amounts take advantage of the full bonus by allowing three qualifying deposits. This means you can make 3 separate deposits and your bonus amount will be the accumulated amount of those deposits, up to $600. You have six months after each qualifying deposit to clear your bonus.
To earn VPP's and clear the bonus, you will need to play at real money cash games and tournaments. Points are awarded as follows:
Tournaments/Sit & Go's – For every dollar you pay in tournament fees, you will receive 5.5 VPP's. For every Euro you pay in tournament fees, you will receive 8 VPP's.
Cash Games with 8 or more seats – The VPP's are awarded as follows, no matter how many players are actually seated or participating in the hand.
For every $1.00 taken in rake, 6 VPP's are awarded and for every €1.00 in rake, 8.5 VPP's are awarded. The VPP's are then equally shared out between all the players who were dealt into the hand.
Cash Games with 7 or fewer seats – The VPP's are awarded as follows, no matter how many players are actually seated or participating in the hand.
For every $1.00 taken in rake, 5.5 VPP's are awarded and for every €1.00 in rake, 8 VPP's are awarded. The VPP's are then equally shared out between all the players who were dealt into the hand.

Pokerstars VIP Club
Pokerstars most renowned promotion is the infamous VIP Club. Every serious poker player knows the value of the VIP Club and the importance it can hold to a pro player. Some players rely on the VIP Club to turn a break-even year into a profitable one. There are many levels to the VIP Club, with players progressing depending on the amount of VPP's they earn in each calendar month and year. Here is a simple breakdown of each level and the requirements:
As you climb the levels, the rewards become more and more valuable. Most serious players aim for the top two levels as they know it holds the more lucrative rewards, such as VPP Cash Milestones up to $5,000 for Supernova and $20,000 for Supernova Elite. The best added bonus of becoming a Supernova Elite, apart from the bonuses, is the free packages to the best live events in the world. Pokerstars will pay for two packages from the following:
- PokerStars Caribbean Adventure
- WSOP Main Event
- EPT Monte Carlo
- APPT Sydney
Or, you can choose one package plus $10,000.
You will also earn more FPP's (Frequent Player Points) as you climb the ranks. FPP's can be used in the FPP store to purchase items such as bonuses and merchandise or to enter tournaments. You earn these points alongside earning VPP's, and the two don't interfere with each other in anyway.
