69jocker69 Wins PokerStars Sunday Million

PokerStarsEvery Sunday is busy on PokerStars with there always being plenty of tournament options for players to choose from. With the Isildur1 vs. Negreanu SuperStar Showdown on at the same time, it was an action packed day in online poker.

There where 9,288 players who registered for the weekly $1.5 million guarantee Sunday Million tournament, which created a prize pool of $1,857,600.00. And it wasn’t until the ten-hour mark of the online tournament that the final table was reached, with the starting chip counts as follows:

There were a number of aggressive players and the all in move was a common place feature at the final table. As a result of the aggression it was inevitable that players were going to be knocked out, which took place in consecutive fashion.

After the short break 69jocker69 doubled up with A-K against chevy chasin's A-Q, which put 69jocker69 into the chip lead at that point,

Chevy chasin didn't have much choice but to move all in for his last 3 million chips with pocket sevens, but AmazingErvin woke up with pocket queens to eliminate chevy chasin in sixth place.

Just after the 11th hour mark of the tournament, player9ball put his tournament life at risk with QJ, and AmazingErvin called with A-K. An ace on the river meant player9ball was sent to the rail in fifth place.

Jysky11 who was short stacked then moved all-in with Ah-2h, and this time AmazingErvin made the call from the big blind with Ac-5d. The flop came down 3h-9s-4d but the turn and river didn’t complete the straight for AmazingErvin and Jysky11 was out of the tournament in fourth place.

Next, AmazingErvin won a sizable pot worth more than 27 million chips in a hand against 69jocker69. Kragg111 then doubled through AmazingErvin, but that didn’t put much of a dent in AmazingErvin's stack.

Kragg111 got involved in a preflop raising war which ended with Kragg111 moving all in with Ac-Qc, but AmazingErvin quickly called and had him dominated with aces which held up, and Kragg111 was out in third place.

The heads-up play of the final table was between 69jocker69 with 19295233 in chips and AmazingErvin with 73584767 in chips. Just a few hands into the heads-up confrontation, 69jocker69 doubled up with top pair and a better kicker.

Then AmazingErvin moved all in with big slick against 69jocker69's As-2c of and it looked like the chip lead would change again. But the board ran out 6d-2d-Qs-7h-6c to gave 69jocker69 a pair of deuces, and that left AmazingErvin out in second place.

On the March 27th, 69jocker69 was crowned the Sunday Million champion, walking away with $220,630.24 for his efforts.
