2025 WSOP Schedule

Caesars Entertainment have released the complete schedule for the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). This years series will again take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and will begin on May 31st (with Event 1 being a $500 buy-in Casino Employees tournament) and will run until March 7th (when the Main Event reaches the final nine players) with a total of 58 bracelet events on the schedule.

This year sees a new poker tournament added to the schedule which should attract the best poker players in the world to Las Vegas earlier than usual. The tournament is Event 2 – the $25,000 buy-in Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship. It will take place in the Amazon Room and will see a maximum of 256 players enter hoping to be crowned best heads-up player in the world with Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Daniel Cates, and many other high-profile players expected to enter.

Another interesting addition to this years WSOP is ‘Hard Stop Times’. This is a new change to address ‘player comfort’ which will see a maximum amount of levels played per tournament depending on the starting times. For tournaments which begin at noon, play will last for a maximum of ten-blind levels and then recommence at 2:30pm the following day. Whereas for tournaments which begin at 5:00pm, a maximum of eight-blind levels will be played and then recommence at 3:00pm the following day.

Of course it will be the $10,000 buy-in Main Event which will gain all the attention. It kicks off at 12:00pm on March 7th and due the vast number of players who will be entering, there will be four Day 1′s and it will have two-hour blind levels. The tournament will reach its climax on March 19th when the final nine players are left, they will then take their seats in January as the ‘January Nine’ to play out the final table, when each of them will hope to be crowned 2025 WSOP Main Event Champion.
