Switch Poker launches today – Poker on iPhone and iPad
Today at 6pm GMT a new poker site launches for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The site is called Switch Poker and it has been being developed for the past three years but today the much anticipated site finally opens its doors to players for real-money. Unfortunately for US players they will currently not be able to play due to the legal situation.

Currently there is no poker bonus offer for when you deposit at Switch Poker however the first 250 players to create an account will receive €10 completely free as a gift. This money can then be used to play in the real-money games but only at the 1c/2c stake tables. Something else of interest is that the only game format available at launch will be No-Limit Hold’em Six-max ring games however Switch Poker have announced they have plans to add the following formats in the near future:

- Multi-table tournaments
- Heads-up cash tables
- Full-ring cash tables
- Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments
- Fixed-Limit tournaments
As the site grows and gets more popular the site could prove to be very popular however there is still debate on whether players will actually want to risk real-money playing from their phone when it could lose connection, ruin battery life etc. One thing for sure is that if Switch Poker does take off it will have lots of competition because the best online poker sites will certainly not want to miss out on the action.
