Maria Ho Signs For UB Poker

Maria HoMaria Ho may not be the biggest female name within the poker industry today but it is definitely one that many poker fans from all over the globe will be very familiar with considering that she proved to be the last woman standing in the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event.

The 27 year old poker player has truly made a name for herself over recent years and now we can reveal that Ho has been signed to UB Poker, formally known as Ultimate Bet.

Joining the team at UB, Ho has revealed that she is elated and massively excited about the chance to represent the brand alongside the likes of Phil Hellmuth who has won 11 World Series of Poker winners bracelets and National Heads-Up Championship winner Annie Duke.

During an interview with PokerNewsDaily, Ho said "To be part of Team UB, which boasts a well-respected roster of pros that have achieved so much and stood the test of time in the game such as Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke, as well as newer pros to the scene that have incredible success and talent such as Eric Baldwin and Adam Levy, is something I am proud of."

UB have been through a lot of change over recent years, including a complete re-branding of their brand following the cheating scandal that seemed to tarnish the brands reputation. One positive is the new players who use ub poker referral code PSR100 will receive a 111% up to $1100 poker bonus.

The changes came as new ownership came into force, changing the vision of the company, something that the latest addition to Team UB is excited by, Ho saying "I am excited about the new vision and direction of UB, especially with the guidance and input of Joe Sebok, who has his finger on the pulse of the poker community at all times."

Sebok has been the driving force behind the recover of the brand following the scandal which rocked the poker community, acting as a liaison point for all the members who were affected by the actions of the few who were looking to make quick and easy money through underhanded tactics, combing through thousands of hand histories to distinguish which players fell victim of the scam.

Finishing off her interview with PokerNewsDaily, Ho told the online poker news site about what she feels that she brings to the table, saying "I believe that I can bring a fresh and unique dynamic to the team by reaching out to an untapped demographic by writing strategy articles and posting videos in both English and my native language of Mandarin Chinese. I also feel as though my experiences primarily as a live high stakes cash game player will bring a different perspective to a lesser known part of the poker world that interests people."

With the deep finish in the World Series of Poker Main Event back in 2025, Ho has also experienced a number of other achievements, including money finished within the World Series of Poker events that have been held over the past two years as well as a tenth place finish in the World Poker Tour series held at the Bellagio back in March this year and she will be hoping for another good finish in the 2025 WSOP.
