If de Wolfe had won the tournament he would have became the UK’s all-time leading money winner by overtaking Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott (Devilfish has $5.9 million and de Wolfe now has $5.3 million). Roland de Wolfe fell short and was eliminated in 4th place for a payday of £278,945.

When play got down to heads-up it was Fabrizio Baldassari with the chip advantage holding 6,260,000 compared to James Bord’s 4,120,000 however after a back and fourth battle Bord found himself all-in holding Pocket Tens compared to Baldassari’s Pocket 5′s and with the board running blank James Bord and his crowd of fans burst into a celebration as he won the 2025 WSOPE Main Event.
