Eric Baldwin Wins PokerStars NAPT LA Shootout
The PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Los Angeles is in full flow at the moment and the latest tournament to have crowned a winner was the Bounty Shootout event.
UB Poker pro Eric 'basebaldy' Baldwin managed to complete the sweep of the tournament, cashing $134,000, making the win the third live tournament cashing of more than $100,000 in prize money in 2025.
Baldwin managed to beat a number of highly experienced players from both the live poker circuit as well as the online poker community to take the win and he will have increased his reputation across both the live and online aspect of the game.
The first player to be eliminated from the Bounty Shootout Final Table was Kevin 'ImaLuckSac' Macphee, crashing out in ninth place after commiting the whole of his stack into the pot after looking down to find Ace/King in his hole cards, a move which was called by Clint Coffee who revealed King/Seven. The community cards were only too happy to provide an upset and produced a seven on the board, enough for Coffee to eliminate Macphee from the tournament.
The loss meant that Macphee left the tournament with a $20,000 reward for his efforts as well as the $3,000 that he earned from eliminating opponents during the duration of the tournament up to that point.
The next player to leave the tournament was Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi, a player that will be more recognised for his part in the WSOP Main Event making the January Nine which came to an end just last week.
The elimination came as Mizrachi had just doubled his chipstack but it was not enough to keep him safe from the hand which saw him run into Justin Young who was only too happy to see the all in call issued, following him into the pot with his pocket Tens.
Mizrachi was not impressed as he turned his pocket Fives over and looked over to see the higher strength being shown by Young, the community cards were unable to alter the result and Mizrachi left the tournament in eighth place, banking $20,000 in prize money as well as the $4,000 in bounty money that he had earned.
Team PokerStars pro Pat Pezzin was next to hit the rail, moving all in pre-flop with his Ace/Jack before being called by Mohsin Carania who presented pocket Sixes.
The community cards offered Mohsin Carania the best possible start to the hand, flopping 6-8-8 to give him a full house and that was that after Pezzin was left to draw dead after the turn failed to present either an Ace or Jack.Pezzin took home $20,000 in prize money and $2,000 in bounty payments.
Clint Coffee, the player who had earlier eliminated Kevin Macphee, was the next player to lose his chance to win the tournament as he ran into Young who made his move with pocket Tens, beating Coffee's pocket Sevens from the start of the hand. Coffee exited the play with $20,000 and $3,000 in bounty cash.
It took half an hour of play for the next player to lose their chance to be the victor of the tournament, NAPT veteran Tom 'Kingsofcards' Marchese losing out to a flush held by David Williams after the river card completed Williams' flush draw.
Williams proved to be man to beat after moving on from the elimination of Marchese to claim Mohsin Charania's chips as once again he beat his opponent, this time Williams presenting pocket Tens while Charania had shoved his chips into the mix with A

Williams hit a set on the flop and that was the end of Charania and his participation in the tournament, leaving the table with a fourth place finish and $24,000 in total prize money.
Williams was again involved in the next hand which saw another player eliminated, this time being on the wrong end of the draw and it was him that was sent home.
Moving all in with Ace/Queen he found himself up again pocket Tens held by Young and once again the community cards offered very little against a pocket pair, failing to improve Williams' hand and left him heading to the cashiers desk to collect his $20,000 + $6,000 in elimination rewards.
Now heads up, Eric Baldwin and Justin Young began to really turn up the heat, Baldwin doubling up his stack early within the action.
The final hand of the tournament saw Young move all in with Ace/Queen but the hand came as Baldwin held pocket Kings and he was only too happy to make the call.
The board offered very little upset and Baldwin completed his victory of the tournament, cashing $134,280 + $20,000 + $3,000.
