Pogo650 Wins PokerStars 60 Billionth Hand

PokerStars 60 Billionth HandOn Tuesday, a milestone was reached on PokerStars, when the 60 billionth hand was dealt on the largest online poker room. When the hand occurred, Pogo650 came away with the win and walked away with over $100,000 just for being at the right place at the right time. It goes without saying that the poker gods were looking after him on that day.

Commenting the 60 billionth hand the winner told the PokerStars Blog, “I’m possibly the biggest luckbox alive over the last week or so. Two losing sessions ended in milestone hands.”

Pogo650 was playing at a $5/$10 Limit Hold’em table when the milestone hand took place. There, a PokerStars host arrived to announce the news and an announcement on the PokerStars Blog explained what happened shortly after: “As HostBob told the table, the six players at the table were all guaranteed $500 and all of their prizes would be increased based on the number of VIP Player Points [VPPs] they’d picked up at the table in the past 50 hands. The winner of the hand would win at least $60,000.” More then $200,000 was distributed to every player sitting down at the 6-max table.

As you can expect in a limit game, there were many players involved in the hand, with five players making it to the river on a board of 2-K-3-6-9. Pogo650 with Q-3 offsuit and a pair of threes was enough to take down the $147 pot and around $100,000 for winning the 60 billionth PokerStars hand.

MeisterHahn revealed A-T at showdown and collected $11,000 which was the smallest payout at the table. The other players at the 6-max table were Hedgehog87, DrPepel, chezlaw, and Blue Baboon, with each of them collecting about $21,000 for being in the right place at the right time.

Members in the PocketFives.com community were amazed that Pogo650 was fortunate to have been a part of not one, but two milestone hands on PokerStars. One of the longstanding members said, “Unbelievable that they had hit a milestone hand earlier too. Guy who won main hand won $3,335 on the earlier milestone hand, now that’s just sick!”

With news that the 60 billionth hand was just around the corner, traffic on PokerStars had been higher then normal as players were chasing the bonuses that are associated with playing the milestone hand. According to PokerScout.com, which keeps track of online poker room traffic, PokerStars had consecutive days of at least 65,000 real money cash game players both on Sunday and Monday.
