The £10,000 Main Event drew a total of 346 entrants which created a prize pool of £3,460,000 with James Bord taking £830,401 and his first WSOP bracelet with his total live earnings now approximately $1,360,871.

Marc Inizan and Brian Powell were the first players to be eliminated and next was Victory Poker CEO Dan Fleyshman who busted in 7th place for £118,643. Another well-known player also made the final table – Full Tilt Poker pro Roland de Wolfe. If de Wolfe had won the tournament he would have became the UK’s all-time leading money winner by overtaking Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott (Devilfish has $5.9 million and de Wolfe now has $5.3 million). Roland de Wolfe fell short and was eliminated in 4th place for a payday of £278,945.

When play got down to heads-up it was Fabrizio Baldassari with the chip advantage holding 6,260,000 compared to James Bord’s 4,120,000 however after a back and fourth battle Bord found himself all-in holding Pocket Tens compared to Baldassari’s Pocket 5’s and with the board running blank James Bord and his crowd of fans burst into a celebration as he won the 2010 WSOPE Main Event.
